taking it down a stop (or three)
Oh, under-exposed velvia, how I love thee.
I shot it for the first time in the early 2000's, for a school project. At the time I was shooting with a Canon Elan 7 and the auto bracketing feature was set really wide, producing some images that were -3 stops. I remember laying them out on the light table at school and being so enamoured with those darker images.
So, yeah, I still love it. Shooting 'dark velvia' is one of my guilty pleasures. Some images look like they were shot at night under a full moon even though it was pretty much high noon.
