RE: At Least It Got me the Role!
Hey, @brian-rhodes.
Congratulations, though I don't blame you about the auditioning part. Most of what I've heard about that is that it's uncomfortable, tiresome, mostly hard to do, and that most really don't enjoy it. And yet, there it is, like a job interview or an exam of some kind.
For what it's worth, I think you did well. Without much context other than what you described, I can see it would have been pretty difficult to just do it, but if crying on demand was the main idea, you did it. :)
I went and looked on IMDB to see what movies or TV shows I may have seen you in. The Tuxedo with Jackie Chan was on the list, so now I'll have to go back and watch that again.
Good luck with the filming, as well as your own personal film endeavors. I imagine it's all a chore to some degree, but it also must have some reward, especially when the film gets in front of an audience. :)
I kept count over the years I was auditioning rigorously and as it turned out, I got on average one booking for every 17 auditions and from what I've heard from other people, that's really good. But when you write and then act in your own piece it's more fulfilling because the statement that you want to make is one you've crated.
