The Nonary Games: Zero's Return

Decontamination Room...Incinerator...Check.

"Hydroflouric Acid...Soporil...check."

Radical-6...the bracelets...Check.

She had done it. She had successfully recreated the Nonary Game she played nine years ago. The fate of humanity had hung in the balance and it had been saved...except for one. The one life that that had brought her happiness for a short amount of time. He had kept her sane throughout their play-through of that demented game...but, then, he died. He died the same way that a young Akane Kurashiki had died. History began to repeat at that point. Adachi Sakura wasn't going to have it.

She had heard of the first Nonary Game, hosted by a Lord Gordain. He was a survivor of the Titanic back in 1912 and had purchased its sister ship, the Gigantic, in 1916. The story was that Gordain would take young Englishmen and force them to participate in a game of life and death and his millionaire friends would make bets. They would make bets on who would live and who would die. The losers would die by being burned to death in an incinerator.

I hope you are burning in hell for that.

Funny that the young woman would think this considering what she had created and that an incinerator was involved. Of course, the game she had in mind was designed to save all nine participants. The death game itself was just to recreate things as she saw it nine years before. She didn't like having history repeat itself. No good things came out of that. However, her main goal was to bring her beloved Akiyama Akira back from the beyond. His life had been cut decidedly short because of a successor of Cradle Pharmaceutical's CEO. History had to be repeated to an extent and then she would see to it that history would change.

Why don't we add FBR?

This particular virus was necessary to cancel out the effects of Radical-6 and vice versa. While Radical-6 had a mortality rate of 75%, FBR had a mortality rate of 100%. Blood would burst from the body as a result of the FBR virus. The young woman had obtained these viruses from the one called Delta and the other from Akane Kurashiki and Dr. Sigma Klim. These particular viruses had been used in the young woman's play-through of the death game and, therefore, needed in her version of the game.

Soon you shall live a life that you were deprived of.

"Sakura-chan."

"Hm?"

A young man emerged from the shadows and Sakura's ice-cold heart melted at the sight of him. He was the man that she desired so much...the man that had died nine years ago. This was a different version of Akiyama Akira. He came from a different timeline in order to help Adachi Sakura to secure his own existence. He wanted to be with her and that was his one reason of travelling back into time. He would give her the life that they both wanted.

"Is everything ready?"

"Yes."

Sakura grabbed a very familiar looking mask and slipped into her dark coat. Tonight, she would become the one called Zero.
