mountain cantigi

Purple cantad or mountain cantigi (Vaccinium varingifolium) (Bl.) Miq. (Ericaceae) is an Aceh flora that is still related to bilberry, huckelberry, blueberry, cranberries. Not much information about this plant. Most of the information associated with its distinctive presence dominates around the crater in the mountains. A typical sight emerges as it approaches the summit is the dominance of small, moss-green trees throughout the year with its red-purple shoots. Backer & Bakhuizen van den Brink (1965) revealed that this plant can be encountered at an altitude between 1500-3300 meters above sea level.
