Numbness

Numbness... Is it a feeling? To me numbness is the lack of feeling, whether that be mental or physical, so maybe numbness it the absents of feeling. How often are we numb? Why are we numb? this mind prison of lack of emotion to anything and everything. there are many reasons for becoming numb, heartbreak, loneliness, pain, betrayal the list is endless. this is one of the worst emotions i feel, the emotion that i fear the most... because during that time, i'm soulless and i'm capable of anything...i don't care for consequences that follow because in this moment of time i'm already dead, unaware that i will revive... sometimes it will just take a few days, sometimes hours if i'm lucky...but then there are times when it lasts weeks, and when i'm out of the sensation of being numb how ever long it takes to fade away, i become scared, forever wondering if one day i will never escape, the feeling will never fade and i'll forever be an emotionless body.
