How to make planted wicks at home
You will need to buy a bleach blonde or light blond, the idea is to clarify up to 8 times the tone you have. For the tincture you have to buy some that silver tone, platinum, The shampoo you can buy any that is silver as possible that is matting in violet tones.
.-Brush the hair so that no knot or tangle remains to make the process as correct as possible
.-Apply coconut oil which is an organic and natural oil to hydrate the hair as this process damages the hair and the idea is to damage it as little as possible. You let it sit overnight so that the dye chemicals do not damage your hair so much
.-Now comb your hair back to take the wicks in a simple way since you will have coconut oil on your head
.-Put on a cap for wicks on the head, usually has small holes and strips to tie on the chin and neck. It should be tight and comb your hair back
.-With a crochet or knitting stick you start to draw the straight wick so that it comes out from the root through the holes of the wicking cap you are wearing. You have to go brushing every time you take out the small little sticks that come out of the holes
.-Once you get all the wicks through the holes you start to prepare the bleaching mixture and then the dyeing so if you are very careful if your hat is nylon because it can pass the dye unlike the silicone caps
.- Put on some gloves to avoid staining with the discoloration and separate the hair on each side in two sections and start to implement from the tips to the root the product
.-Apply now to the wicks that you have already put the decolourizer a little aluminum foil to cover and concentrate much more the color in the ends of the wicks
.-Once you finish applying on all the hair that sticks out of the wick cap, take a foil and wrap your whole head
.-Let one 40 minutes pass and take the aluminum foil to see how you have left
.-If you have dark hair you have to stay an orange tone Now you have to apply a second discoloration repeating the steps above and wait about 30 minutes and remove when the time passes
.-The next step is to apply the matting tint
