whoaa this is the coolest way that I've seen to get rid of stumps. Do you make cuts in the bottom or something and use kindling? And what does it look like after it's burned out?
Yes, it gets it started and as it burns, the stump above helps keep the stump below hot. You just have to be kind of diligent with keeping the ashes from smothering the lower fire. It's not the quickest way, but it works on old stumps. These have been sitting for about 5 years now.
