Making Grafted Plants in One Tree

Hello steemian !!!
this time I made a plant by transplanting the tree trunks and here I also used plants in pots or polybags and I immediately shared the process of transplanting plants

  • Grafting

Grafting or grafting is a technique of breeding plants that are very suitable for planting in pots. In addition, because the quality of the fruit is maintained the same as the parent, the tree will grow not too high. Trees that are bred by the graft technique will not have taproots.
Plants that can be transplanted are hardwood or cambium fruit trees. Example: Mango, guava, guava, orange.

Tools needed:

  • Strong and sharp knife.
  • Coconut fiber or plastic bag.
  • Rope or rubber band used.
  • 10 cm long nails.
  • Bucket or whatever other media to hold water.
  • chair / stairs / stegger, if the branch is too high.
  • Fertile soil mixture of manure, with a ratio of 1: 1: 1 saw

  • Grafting steps
  • First, make sure that the plant host is of a superior variety, so the results will be superior seeds as well.
  • Determine straight and large branches so that later the tree is strong enough to be independent. Approximately the size of a child's wrist or 3 cm in diameter.
  • Furthermore, scour the base of the branch using a knife. Once again the kerat from the first keratan is about one fist or 5 cm.
  • Discard the skin between the keratan.
  • After the bark is clean, scrape the mucus / sap until it's clean and the wood isn't slippery anymore.

  • Take enough coconut fiber or plastic to tie the bottom first.
  • Shape in such a way as to form a container, fill with a mixture of soil that has been prepared. The field must be solid enough by pressing it.
  • Tie the top of the fibers or plastic and make sure the soil mixture is tightly closed.
  • Make holes for removing 1 cm of water between the holes (if the media is plastic).
  • Flush water until water drips from the graft

Wait about 4-6 weeks before the graft is ready to be separated from the parent. Remember to always water the grafts every morning and evening. To ensure that the grafted plants are ready, check that there are enough roots, usually until the plastic is stretched or the wrapper fibers.
If this condition meets the requirements, cut the plant from the mother. It is better to cut using a saw so that the plant is not damaged.
Reduce leaves and twigs. just leave a few leaves.
