Dragon Fruit Tree Plant that is Fast Fruiting
hello guys !!!
today I will provide several ways to plant dragon trees in a very easy way, the first time we have to do a number of processes
preparing a pot
You can use various types of pots from cement, plastic, clay or used drums that are cut. But according to experience, pots made of clay are the most ideal because dragon fruit plants require a drastic change in temperature from day to night in the flowering process. The size of the pot used is the bigger the better, at least about 40cm
set up climbing pole
Dragon fruit plants need climbing poles to support them so they don't collapse. Later this pole will be wrapped in aerial roots and will support several heavy production branches which of course need to be selected from strong materials but also need to be considered not to let the pot not be able to withstand the heavy weight of the climbing post
We recommend that climbing poles be made of 8-10 cm diameter concrete, or strong and durable wooden beams due to the age of dragon fruit that can reach tens of years. The pole height between 150-200 cm is adjusted to the pot size. At the bottom of the pole are reinforced legs so that later it can be strong and not easily shaken. For concrete iron poles, parts buried in the ground can be given asphalt to avoid rust. For the top of the pole, the disc is shaped like a steering wheel that serves to support the many branches of production
growing media
After the pot and climbing pole have been prepared, then prepare the planting media. The ingredients are sand, soil, manure and compost in a ratio of 2: 1: 3: 1. You can also add enough red brick powder and 100 g of dolomite (agricultural lime) mixed evenly with the ingredients. Then the planting media is doused with water until the condition is saturated and left for a day and a night
Seedlings should be selected for large ones, from old stems that are green and dark green and free from disease. Ideally the length of seeds planted is at least 30 cm. Next the seeds are planted around the climbing pole with a depth of 10 cm, not too deep because it will result in poor growth. After planting, the planting media is pressed so that the seeds do not easily collapse. Then the planting media is doused with water and placed in an open place that is not shaded exposed to direct sunlight
plant maintenance
Besides that, what needs to be considered is that the plants are sure to stick well to climbing poles and do not collapse, therefore it is necessary to tie dragon fruit stems on the pole using a rope or wire with a bonding shape as '8' should not be too tight because it can damage stems or branches as growth grows larger
We @farms are pleased with this publication and finds it of great importance to this community and sub-community.... thanks for sharing
