"The Last Alchemist: Trading with Gods and Demons"
The Divine Marketplace
The rules of the Celestial Bazaar were simple:
No violence
No lies
The price is always paid
When the war god demanded "an unbeatable sword," I presented my creation - a blade forged from a dying star. His eyes glowed with greed until I stated the cost: "One year of your divinity."
The demon princes laughed. The goddess of wisdom gasped. The war god... hesitated.
That's when the child tugged my sleeve. "Mister? I'll trade my shadow for medicine for my mom."
The System flashed crimson:
[WARNING: This transaction violates Cosmic Law 7]
[Penalty: Divine Retribution]
I handed the child the vial anyway. Let the gods come.
