"The Library of Unwritten Endings"
The rule was simple: never open a book that writes itself.
As the librarian's apprentice, I'd resisted temptation for years. Until I found her journal on the forbidden shelf - its pages blank until my tears fell on them. Ink bloomed into words:
"If you're reading this, you're the one who killed me."
My hands shook. I'd never harmed anyone. But the next page showed my face, older, holding a bloody dagger over a body wearing my current clothes.
The library's whispering grew louder:
"Some stories demand to be told..."
"...even if they haven't happened yet."
🗨️ Discussion Prompt:
If you discovered a book containing your future, would you turn the page? At what cost?
What kind of novel is this?
Library murder incident!
Thanks!
