WE THE UNCIVILISED - A VERY THOUGHT PROVOKING LIFE STORY FILM

in #familyprotection7 years ago (edited)

I have just come back from viewing this inspiring and very touching film. www.wetheuncivilised.org

(Esta película existe con version subtitulada al español!)

As we all huddled together in the beautiful Da-a-Luz birth temple the film creators introduced themselves and told a little of their story... the rest was to come..

This is a film made for the people and the planet. A mind opening experience for all.

Things that particularly touched me were the heartfelt comments regarding education and the quote "one should not have to 'do what i say' one should do what they think is right"

The ways that people in the film were living so connected to the earth brought up all my doubts about what i am actually doing and if it is all for greater good. I will have to sit with that one.

The film cycles through Beginnings, Grief, Letting Go and other stages that i cannot remember right this moment - the point is that i would like to share it with you.

"The film features conversations with grassroots activists and leading figures of the UK ecological movement, including: Satish Kumar (editor ‘The Ecologist’), Polly Higgins (ecocide lawyer), Bruce Parry (explorer and filmmaker), Martin Shaw (School of Myth), Jewels Wingfield (ecofeminist), Mac Macartney (Embercombe), Simon Fairlie (editor ‘The Land’), Peter Owen Jones (clergyman and presenter), Glennie Kindred (author and artist), and the late Patrick Whitefield (permaculturist)."

After the viewing we had a small meditation and discussion with the person next to us. Then came a few words to be shared.

A relevant topic that has been on my mind and discussion in our local community is that of SACRED ECONOMY - a few of the words spoken strengthened my resolve to continue to share information on this... then suddenly out of nowhere the little girl who was holding the talking stick just thrust it into my hands for me to speak the last words of the evening. I was slightly shocked but felt impelled to briefly share a few simple words about how we can all work together in creating abundance for each other - as is being done here on steemit. Thank you... do watch the film

Good night!

unfortunately steemit wont let me change that now.... what is meant to be done... i would be happy to remove the post completely and start again but not sure if that possible... I understand that you don't think it is relevant but the big picture is... shame that this has really put a downer on my feeling to share here....

Do not remove the post. You made an honest mistake so please don't be upset. If you read that link for more info you will see that mistagged posts make a lot of extra work for our volunteers. Our goal is to change the foster care / CPS system and help those families who are under attack from them.

Pay them no mind; there is no such thing as a reserved tag. You can post with whatever tags you want if they are applicable to your post. Nobody owns a tag.

so if I start posting photos of nfsw in witness categories and they start flagging me what will I say? that @sneak told it was allowed
