How do you join a team in Pokémon Go?

1. Get to level 5

You are required to work towards hitting level 5 to join any team in Pokémon Go .without achieving it you can never belong to a team in the game. It is, therefore, prudent to focus on catching as many Pokémon as possible until you get to level 5.It shouldn’t take you long before achieving it since all you need is to be smart and willing to do it.
2. Find a gym.
After getting to level 5,the next step is finding a suitable gym. This is very interesting since there are no significant requirements needed to join a gym. You can choose any regardless of which team controls it.When you find a gym and it opens successfully, you will be introduced to an assistant by Professor Willow. At this stage, you will have the chance to evaluate each of the three teams since none of them have an edge over the other
3. Choose a team
By tapping the gym on your devices screen you can choose a team of your choice. It is essential to think twice before tapping on a specific team to avoid making the wrong choice. You should know that you can neither reverse your decision nor access any gym controlled by others after joining a team.
A player has the right to join whichever teams they like on Pokémon Go provided they are comfortable with their decisions. It is, however, worth noting that you cannot change teams regardless of whatever reasons you may have for wanting to do so. Choose your team wisely, evaluate all your factors before doing it and have mad fun.
