Fireworks...

in #family7 years ago

A few years ago my husband and I were talking about where we wanted to watch Fourth of July fireworks. He mentioned that he had seen fireworks before and did not necessarily need to see anymore. He did not take into account that he had seen them during his childhood and yes we are in the south and it is summer and it is ridiculously hot but it is now our daughters childhood. It is her only childhood and it is our job to make sure she has the very best one possible. Which means we get to pack up and go sit out in the horrible heat and make it the best experience we possibly can because you are making their memories right now. So try not to get caught up so much with what is better for us all the time and try to remember to be there with them and share in their moment.

Pretty solid. It really sucks sometimes but it is definitely about the kids.

A nice reminder to always enjoy these moments

You have to keep it going to make her have lasting memories with you two pass it on love it

That's so true something we take for granted this smallest moments; not realizing that those moments matter the most !!

Im with him, seen one you've seen them all.

The little things in life should be cherished sometimes. I think people should experience fireworks at least twice in their life: the first time so they are startled, the second time so they can behold the beauty of them.

It is a fathers duty to endure in quiet stoicism as a pillar of secure strength for the sake of his family to experience new things safely and to create bonding memories for future reflection because to do otherwise would be selfish and immature.
