WISE MEN WHO LEARNED THINGS FROM STARS 4
2 JESUS WAS BORN IN THE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM IN THE COUNTRY OF JUDEA. It was the time when Herod was king of that part of the country. Soon after Jesus was born, SOME WISE MEN WHO LEARNED THINGS FROM STARS CAME TO JERUSALEM FROM THE EAST.
2 THEY ASKED, “Where is the King of the Jews Who has been born? WE HAVE SEEN HIS STAR IN THE EAST. WE HAVE COME TO WORSHIP HIM.”
Matthew 2:1-2 (New Life Version)
1 Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea, during the time when Herod was king. SOON AFTERWARD, SOME MEN WHO STUDIED THE STARS CAME FROM THE EAST TO JERUSALEM
2 AND ASKED, “Where is the baby born to be the king of the Jews? WE SAW HIS STAR WHEN IT CAME UP IN THE EAST, AND WE HAVE COME TO WORSHIP HIM.”
Matthew 2:1-2 (Good News Translation)
1 When [After] Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea during the time when Herod was king, SOME WISE MEN [astrologers; magi; a class of wise men and priests who practiced astrology] FROM THE EAST CAME TO JERUSALEM.
2 THEY ASKED, “Where is the baby who was born to be the king [or newborn king] of the Jews? WE SAW HIS STAR IN THE EAST [or when it rose] AND HAVE COME TO WORSHIP HIM [pay him homage].”
Matthew 2:1,2 (Expanded Bible)
• Outwitting the plans of the enemy, the devil and his agents (Matthew 2:7-12).
- Without God's help you cannot outwit the enemy; the devil and his agents. If it was not God, Herod would have succeeded in his plot to kill Baby Jesus (Matthew 2:13,14).
- The devil is roaring like a lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Without God in your life, and on your side, you would not be able to outwit the enemy—the devil and his agents.
- Jesus would not have been able to fulfil His purpose or assignment If Herod succeeded in his plot against Him—to kill Him (Matthew 2:7-14).
- Note: Salvation, also known as, being born-again, is the only way, the escape route, through which a person would not be a prey in the hand of the enemy—the devil and his agents (John 3:3-5; Romans 10:9,10).
- If I may ask, Are you born-again? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Have you invited Him, Jesus Christ, into your life? (Revelation 3:20). No one can come to God without Him—Jesus Christ (John 14:6).
• When you make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, which means your Owner, that makes you a believer, a person in the secret place of the Most High, God, and someone under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).
- Remember, being a free moral being, God will not come or be involved in the affairs of your life If you invited Him not (Revelation 3:20).
- When you chose to allow Jesus in the affairs of your life, opened the door to your heart for Him (Revelation 3:3); you would have to stand by the choice or decision you made.
a. Choosing to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour will cost you some things; the relationship and friendship with the world (James 4:4; 1 John 2:15-17).
b. Your relationship with God through Jesus Christ would halt, discontinue or terminate, your personal plans and programmes; whilst His plans and programmes for your life would have to be embraced or accepted by you without hesitation.
• What are the signs If someone's star has been tampered with or delved into?
a. The person might not experience any meaningful progress in the journey of his or her life (Genesis 49:3,4; Deuteronomy 33:6; 1 Chronicles 5:1).
b. The life of the person might be fraught or laden or filled with different challenges; a life that characterizes or depicts struggling.
c. The person might find himself or herself serving under the person or people who should be under him or her (Genesis 9:25; 49:3,4).
d. Lack of help or favour; good things elude the person easily.
• Recovery of your star or destiny starts with being born-again. When you submitted to the the leadership of Jesus Christ, you accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour, He comes to the driver's seat of your life and begins to drive or lead your life.
- Those whose stars had been tampered with, or hijacked, or borrowed, or stolen by those who operate with occultic and demonic power; could only regain or recover or receive back the glory or the destiny or the star stolen through an intimate walk with God, and that is through faith in Christ Jesus.
- Having Christ Jesus in your life is a major step and decision to make If you discovered through this teaching that your star had been tampered with.
- Whatever you had lost would be recovered If you can submit your life to Christ Jesus.
• If you chose to live your life outside God, you would not be forced by God to to live for Him.
- However, living outside God or without God makes you a candidate that the devil can preyed on—one that is helpless or unable to resist attacks; that could be hunted and killed by the devil.
- Serving God, walking in the light of His Word, is a plus and not a minus; It protects and preserves.
- Serving God is wisdom, because no star can shine without God. When you established a relationship with God, walking in communion or fellowship with Him, living by the principles of His Word; your life is shielded, protected, and directed by Him, and your are preserved from the enemy; the devil and his agents.
- Your star would shine, and the purpose would be fulfilled, only through a relationship with God that is established via the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ.
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- Whatever the hold of enemy in your life is broken and completely destroyed, never to rise again in Jesus' mighty name.
Peace!
