Could Facebook start a Successful Cryptocurrency #FaceBucks

Its a simple question. I am not a cryptocurrency guru by any means. I just find the whole space mighty compelling. I do believe Facebook has an interesting opportunity to go from zero to domination in several internet based businesses. Cryptocurrency happens to be one of the most obvious opportunities for FB to shine. With FB's 4 core apps Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp they have a massive amount of power in the digital communication industry. I know they have attempted to get into the payments space by offering direct peer-to-peer money transfers in Messenger. Also, they recently rolled out a Facebook feature that allows food delivery orders to be placed directly from the Facebook app. Is the writing on the wall? Will Facebook inevitably have its own cryptocurrency? Its an interesting question and with the rapid rate of change in the mega -cap tech world, we might not have to wait long for an answer.
