Instagram is an American photo and video sharing social networking service founded by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. In April 2012, Facebook acquired the service for approximately US$1 billion in cash and stock.
To Delete your Facebook Account:
- Open your Facebook App,

Scroll down and select Settings and Privacy > Settings.
Click Your Facebook Information in the left column ( Personal and Account information ).
Select Account Ownership and Control.
Select Deactivation and Deletion.
You will be asked to choose any of the two.
Deactivate Account.
- Deactivating your account is temporary. Your account will be disabled and your name and photos will be removed from most things you've shared. You'll be able to continue using Messenger.
Delete account.
- Deleting your account is permanent. When you delete your Facebook account, you won't be able to retrieve the content or information you've shared on Facebook. Your Messenger and all of your messages will be deleted.
- After choosing any of the two choices of your desire, you will be asked to re-enter your password, tap on continue, and you will be deleted or deactivated.
