Manor Denies Rio Urges Immediate Payment Refinance
Dave Ryan finally go to vote on the future of Rio Haryanto in F1. Manor Racing's Race Director said that the company does not impose Rio to immediately pay the remaining money settlement.
To be able to race in F1 this season, Rio must repay a total of 15 million euros at the Manor. He had paid eight million euros of five million euros from Pertamina, and three million euros of personal pocket.
While the remaining seven million euros should be paid before the series 11th in Hungary July 24, 2016. But Rio finally given the chance to keep racing until the series to 12 in Germany.
"Actually there is no definite deadline related to the settlement. The longer the deadline, then the better for Rio and his team," Ryan said as quoted by Motorsport.
"Moreover, I have often said that if we want to keep Rio until the end of the season. Everyone is working hard to make it happen," said Ryan asserts.
Some rumors mention Manor has prepared a replacement driver. As Alexander Rossi, Jordan King, until Esteban Ocon.
"We certainly have a backup plan, including those who will replace him. But hopefully the plan was never used," said Ryan.
