Youtube gets 13 years old ; MyEtherWallet victim of a hacker attack, stolen 215 Ethereum (Update 1)
Update: Once confirmed on the social network Twitter hacking DNS, MyEtherWallet came out with an official stand a few hours later.
The company claims that the Domain Name System (DNS) servers were hacked at 13:00 on our local time to redirect users visiting myetherwallet.com to a pshishing site.
MEW calls this old technique and says any organization or bank could happen and said the hacking did not come as a result of site security but by hackers who found problems with DNS servers.
Most of the affected users used Google's DNS while MEW recommended that users navigate to Cloudflare servers.
The company asked the users to verify whether during myetherwallet.com visit, there are SSL certificates in green before the domain.
It also recommended using offline MEWs and using hardware to store their cryptographic currencies.
The most popular online ethereal portfolio, MyEtherWallet (MEW), fell victim to a hacking attack that compromised the company's DNS.
Numerous users reported investment losses, while this attack indicates the dangers of using centralized systems even when assets are stored in the individual.
According to the first reports, 215 Ethereum coins were stolen from the hacker who took the attack.
On April 24 some users of MyEtherWallet reported suspicious activities when trying to access the web account.
The platform does not retain user revenue, but as all websites are jeopardized by hacking by exposing the data of anyone who interacts with the service.

MEW confirmed through the social network Twitter the ongoing difficulties and the attack on DNS.
The first signs that showed something did not appear on Reddit where a user said he might have been cheated or hacked.
As the most popular "client-side" ethereal portfolio, MEW is used to send money, buy Cryptokitties and perform transactions on a daily basis.
A similar attack on DNS was conducted in December on another ethereal platform, Etherdelta.
MyEtherWallet is not the only site that reported DNS issues. Binance also wrote on Twitter that Google's DNS had dropped where some users could not access the stock market.
