How Layer 2 Solutions Can Help Ethereum move forward

As blockchains become more popular, scalability is a major issue, especially for Layer 1 blockchains like Ethereum and bitcoin, which often struggle with congestion and high transaction fees. Looking ahead, layer-2 have the potential to greatly improve the Ethereum ecosystem.

Layer 2 solutions can significantly boost transaction speeds, reduce costs, and improve user experience by offloading some processing from the main chain. This alleviates strain on Ethereum and allows for greater adoption of decentralized applications (dApps).

Notable layer-2 projects that is already making an impact include Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, Eclipse, Loopring, BLAST and Pepe Unchained. One layer 2 project that is also making a name for itself is Scroll, which utilizes ZK-rollup technology to increase efficiency by combining multiple transactions into a single proof while maintaining security. Its EVM compatibility enables easy integration for developers.

The native token, SCR, will launch on October 22, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens and 15% reserved for airdrops. SCR is also currently available for pre-market trading on Bitget and several exchanges, indicating growing interest in layer-2 solutions.
