10 cities with the most bitcoin and cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin
Have you ever wanted to buy something with bitcoin? There are now about 15,000 companies accepting cryptocurrency payments around the world, and more than 2,000 of them are in the United States.
You can use bitcoin to pay for lunch at the Miami Pizza Bar, or a play at the Seacoast Repertory Theater in Portsmouth.
Bitcoin has always been controversial, but one fact is indisputable: more places, merchants, and businesses are accepting cryptocurrency cash.
In this article, we review which cities are at the fore in digital currency adoption, according to Investopedia.
How to measure the adoption of cryptocurrencies and the adoption of official dealings with them
In order to come up with the 10 cities with the most bitcoin transactions, a number of metrics are used, including: the number of merchants accepting this type of transaction in each city, the number of ATMs available for bitcoin and other digital currencies, the size of the population in relation to bitcoin activity, and other criteria.
Based on that data, we came up with the following order:
Cities with the most cryptocurrency in the world

It's no surprise that the tech capital of the United States features prominently on our list. San Francisco is home to crypto exchanges Coinbase and Kraken.
