ETH Prize for POA network and Piper Merrian, Bounty: $250,000 USD each.
The POA network (poa.network, an Ethereum sidechain with Proof of Authority consensus ) just got a bounty for an Open Source Block Explorer from ethprize.io on the Ethereum Community Conference in Paris (ETHCC), last weekend, 8-10 March 2018 . The POA team got $250,000 USD bounty for it.
As ethprize states on their site: "There are many critical projects and tools for the ethereum ecosystem that need to be built."
They interviewed more than a 100 DApp developers in order to diagnose the biggest challenges that the Ethereum (and others based on it, like POA) community is facing.
Piper Merrian got another $250,000 USD to continue developing the ETHPM Package Manager. He will be advising a team of developers from Truffle to continue and complete the development work.
Damn - i've been working on a block explorer - should've opened sourced it!
