Is it profitable to mine Ethereum on video cards now?

A year ago, as I know, it was profitable to mine on relatively new video cards.

  • Has something changed now?
  • It will be much more profitable to mine on equipment specially created for mining?
  • And is it profitable to lease such equipment?

    With the current price it is still profitable. Just switched my R9 380 18Mh/s do mine again and seem like its doing about 0.015Eth a day. Not bad at all at the current rate.
