Ethereums incoming METROPOLIS update!!!
Sometime later this month Ethereum will update with METROPOLIS!
KEY INFO:
- Algorithm changes to "zk-SNARKs" which uses Zero-knowledge proofs
- Will be transitioning to PoS(Proof of Stake) from PoW(Proof of Work)
- Block rewards changes from 5 to 3 ETH
- Amount to Stake will be 1000+ ETH
- Will be improving the smart contract programming
- Lower "gas" fees
Those are the key things you need to know. now... lets speculate...
If its moving from PoW to PoS, AND its going to need to lock 1000 ETH to stake, I could see A LOT of ETH getting locked up creating DEMAND, AND due to block reward change creating less SUPPLY I do speculate that after September ETHEREUM will be over $500 USD, and by next year could be over $1000...
now.... 1 more speculation I have is...
Ethereum could hard fork again! I could see a group of people not wanting to move to PoS...

What do you think the results of a potential hard fork would be? If BTC and previous ETH forks are any indication, we would see an initial price drop then a strong price recovery and increased value for both coins combined.
Hell, now that I think about it, I'm all for a fork. After I acquire 1000 ETH on the cheap first.
