Ethereum Constantinople Upgrade. Good or Bad?

The overall reactions from the internet and the community as a whole is a mixed bag. Some liked it and some despise it. This leaves me puzzled. will the miners be holding on to the old chain? This article states that the upgrade has so much to offer (https://blog.kucoin.com/constantinople-an-ethereum-hard-fork-sk-st). If it succeeds with it's goals though i think it will trigger another eth bull run *crossed fingers. But if not, this will be the demise of ethereum as a blockchain platform i suppose.
