Ethereum continues to remain under pressure due to options expiry
On Friday, Ethereum remained under pressure, with the second-largest crypto currency dropping by double digits in the last 24 hours.
While Ethereum recovered and pared its losses, it, like other cryptocurrencies, continued to trade lower. Ethereum was down approximately 4% near the $1,750 mark at 14.40 hours IST on Friday.
The total market capitalization of the second largest cryptocurrency, according to Coinmarketcap, has plummeted to $213.65 billion.
However, the crypto behemoth's volume increased by nearly 77% in the last 24 hours, with $27.86 billion worth of Ether tokens changing hands.
