RE: Can We Build A Surveillance-Free Internet? - Steven "Seven" Waterhouse (Ethereal Summit SF 2017)

in #etherealsummitsf8 years ago (edited)

I'm thinking about all those people with bad intention that will profit from a surveillance-free system.

I think surveillance is fine, if not pushy, as long as lobbies don't use informations in the aim to make profit on their marketing campaign or to get data on their future and potential consumers.

What do you think? =)

Sort:

We will reach a point where no need for privacy beside the bedroom and toilet. I suggest to have all information about every single person to be available for free for everyone wants to know. Whoever other rules have to be established to keep the peace. like you said.

I'm not sure I will be happy that everybody can access my informations and know what I'm doing, where I live, what I like and specially who are my relatives.
But it's an interesting vision that you have =)

It is happening now wither you like it or not. If we demand all info to be free and be available to every one, nobody can black male you. Many will avoid many wrong doings. And we will have complete transparency.

Yes but let's say someone lambda has no access to it right now. If I follow your thoughts, the neighbour could have all infos about me. You make the job easier for bad people haha =D

Bad people already know every thing about you, If we legalize it will be less damaging. like Mari-wanna

Who is Mari? I would like to meet her .. haha =D

You don't know her. common! the sister of Heroin, Duh

Surveillance is not fine it is a violation of a persons privacy. Surveillance of any form is bad

Thank you @crypt0 for the support =)
