Vespa traces
In the mid-1960s the Vespa top series was held by the Vespa Super Sport (SS) 180. As with its class type, the Vespa SS180 is equipped with features that exceed other Vespa specifications of its time.
Engine specifications become one of the mainstay in the Vespa SS 180. Equipped with a capacity of 180 cc engine cylinder engine that in fact the largest in Vespa era. The fuel inflowing system relies on direct intake, not the rotary valve like most Vespa in general. This makes Vespa performance coded VSC is more responsive.
Front suspension system is also different. Shockbreaker is already using the built-in spring model. At a glance similar to the Vespa PX fork that was produced more than 10 years later. This suspension system promises more maximum driving comfort.
Vespa SS 180 body design is quite identical to the type of Vespa Sprint. However, there are significant differences that distinguish it. Call it on the right box design left and the location of the glove box that is behind the front wing.
Vespa SS 180 only produced in a relatively short time. Starting from 1965 to 1968. Not surprisingly, the population is quite small. Plus, a variety of different features than the Vespa type contemporaries make Vespa SS 180 very feasible for collection.
