Chapter 6

Slash!

Dylan slashed at the his opponent but the slash was easily deflected to the side then with a snort the man counter-attacked! But to his surprise he only hit air, then with a flash, Dylan appeared to the side, and slashed the man's neck!

Ting!

The man blocked the knife that is aiming at his neck with ease. Seeing his sneak attack failed, Dylan retreated. Looking at the man he frowned, it seemed that his opponent is quite skilled.

"This is going to be difficult..." he thought.

After Dylan retreated the man did not pursue, and merely looked at him with a bit of interest.

"Heh, not bad! And here I thought this is going to be boring. You should struggle more, and try to entertain me," the man said arrogantly.

Dylan stared at his opponent but did not say anything. And with a twitch of his body he disappeared!

The man's eyes turned wide after when Dylan suddenly disappear. "That again? Is it Hide, or maybe Stealth?" The man thought as he ready himself for a sudden attack. Then his eyes gleamed, and he swung his sword!

Clank!!!

Dylan was forcibly pushed back by the power of his opponen't attack! He took several step back before he manages to steady himself. Feeling his hands that hold the twin knife becoming numbed, Dylan had a sudden thought.

"Such power! Is he really an E-ranker?" Dylan asked himself with suspicion.

Despite being able to counter-attack, the man was unsatisfied. "I used too much power on that attack. People might start suspecting if I keep dishing out such attacks. What a pain..." the man complained on his mind.

Dylan is indeed becoming suspicious, the man is just too strong for this level. "Is he perhaps a smurf?"

Note: Smurfs are professional or veteran gamers who liked to disguise themselves as amateur players so that they could go, and destroy newbies on competitive games, or competitions. Basically, smurfs liked to bully weaker players just to satisfy their vanity.

With that thought on mind, Dylan become more cautious. Though he is suspecting his opponent, all he had is suspicion.

"Well this is good too. Maybe I can test "that" using this guy." Dylan's eyes shined with cunning.

After thinking so, Dylan did not attack his opponent but merely walked around him as if trying to find an opportunity.

"Tsk! It seemed that he noticed. What a shame, I guess, I should destroy him now," the man thought as he lick his lips like a predator.

The man was indeed a smurf. He's real identity is Glenn, an elite B-ranker! Due to the pressure from his own class, Glenn wanted to release some steam. Unfortunately, the other players from the same class are too strong to be bullied, and won't be able to satisfy his desire for victory.

Fortunately, one can buy a lot of interesting items from the virtual mall that can hide his identity, and rank. Anyway, he is not lacking money so he decided to buy said items, and wreck havoc on the lower class.

He had been doing this for a while now, and he is having a blast destroying these weaklings. Of course he tried to make it looked like he is struggling as not to stir so much suspicion. It's only today that he's feeling a little sadistic did he show a bit of his true ability.

"I guess I should move to D-class next. These E-rankers are too weak," Glenn thought while gripping his sword.

Noticing Glenn's action, Dylan readied himself. Then like the wind, Glenn moved behind Dylan, and slashed!

The sudden attacked was to fast that it seemed to Glenn that Dylan was unable to react. He is looking forward to see the Dylan being cut in half!

Slash!

The sword slashed Dylan but the unexpectedly, Glenn did not feel the addicting feeling of cutting through flesh!

"An after image!" Glenn thought as he tries to turn around but failed to do so as something held the blade of sword!

But before he could see what's holding his blade, his head flew away from his body! As his connection to his virtual body is being severed he saw a figure similar to Dylan still holding unto his sword. "...A doppleganger?" Was his lost thought before disappearing into light particles...
