Are you ready to see this natural phenomenon?

Days Without Shadows, are you ready to see the phenomenon of this step? Citing the official website of the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (LAPAN), on March 21, 2018 and September 23, 2018, all Indonesians will see a natural phenomenon that occurs only twice a year. This phenomenon is known as the vernal equinox (ver = spring, equus = sama, nox = night) because on that day, the duration of day and night around the world will be the same, ie 12 hours.

On March 20, 2019 at 23:15 WIB, the sun will start spinning just above the equator line. Before this event occurs, the whole world will have a long enough day. A day without a shadow occurs because the sun will be just above the equator (equator). Indonesia is one of the countries that have the opportunity to experience this rare natural phenomenon because its territory is located right on the equator.

You can see it in a very easy way, standing outside the room at noon and making sure the sun is directly below you. Once you are above the equator, you will feel the sensation of standing in the absence of a completely black shadow or known as the shadow nir or the Day Without Shadows.

One of the most sensing cities of this phenomenon is in Pontianak. On March 21, 2018 at 11.50 WIB the sun will be just above the equator that makes all the high monuments in the city stand without any shadow. After that, the sun will fall slowly to set, at the western point about 6 hours after the phenomenon takes place.

In addition to Pontianak, several towns located between 23.4 South Latitude and 23.4 North Latitude-like Denpasar and several other big cities in Indonesia-will also witness this rare phenomenon. For those who missed out, you do not have to worry because similar incidents will reoccur on September 23, 2018.
