Jeruk manis memiliki pohon yang berdaun bersayap, berbau harum, pada ketiak daun terdapat duri dengan bunga putih kekuning-kuningan dan buah bulat, pada ujungnya terdapat lekukan-lekukan, rasanya manis.
Jeruk manis biasanya diperbanyak dengan cara di cangkok dan okulasi. Jeruk manis berbunga dua kali setahun, di bulan Agustus dan November - Desember. Di Indonesia jeruk manis tumbuh dengan bagus di daerah pegunungan di ketinggian 1.000 m di atas permukaan laut. Perakarannya dangkal, sehingga harus ditanam di tanah yang subur.
Banyak yang bisa di buat dari buah jeruk, dapat dibuat sirup dan jus, daunnya bisa dibuat minyak yang baunya sangat harum, sedangkan bijinya dapat dibuat untuk bahan pembuatan sabun.
Jeruk manis juga memiliki manfaat yang sangat bagus untuk tubuh manusia, yaitu :
- mengobati sakit jantung
- menurunkan kolesterol
- mengatasi darah tinggi
- mencegah kanker
- mengatasi wasir
- menetralisir tubuh
- mengatasi flek hitam
