My #friendsday post is for @erikah. FINALLY! right?
I've been promising squirrel pictures for a while and this morning I finally had the opportunity to take a few. I was watching them in the yard and the snow is so deep and fluffy that they were having a difficult time getting around. They would sink in the snow and just continue on almost as if they were in a tunnel totally buried to the point where I couldn't even see their tails. They would pop up further along the path. I had never seen them do that before.
When my daughter stopped by this morning she shoveled a place for them under the bird feeder and took them out some sunflower seeds and peanuts.
It has finally stopped snowing today and the sun is out. My plowguy, Terry, has the sidewalk cleared and the driveway plowed . Cold temps and more snow are on the way, though. This feels like winter in Wisconsin has finally arrived!

Those must be some hungry squirrels to be out in that deep snow
With all the snacks my daughter feeds them every day I can't imagine that they are hungry. I think it is probably more that they are just spoiled and saw the snow as a major inconvenience to getting their treats.
That's what I call earning a living.
The snowplow guy? I wouldn't have his job for anything. But he does get paid really well!

I don't I think they are very happy with all the snow. They have been coming down out of the trees very rarely
Let's hope they have plenty to eat.
