VEGETABLE PHARMACEUTICAL COFFEE GAYO, Aceh Tengah, Aceh

The towering mountains lined up neatly, green trees grow evenly, the leaves are dense mountainous soil cover enough to spoil the eyes and make the mind so clear so beautiful natural panorama that makes us feel at home lingering around. The cold air still tastes fresh not mixed with dust and pollution. This is typical of mountain atmosphere in Bener Meriah regency commonly referred to as the country above the clouds.

This is where our group 39 adventure begins. Lots of experience we got when we were in Sidodadi village. Mixing with people we do not know is not an easy thing, we have to adapt to the village community may be difficult, but after we live together it is not a difficult thing. The villagers who are mostly Javanese are known for their kindness, gentleness and courtesy.

Early in the morning, the residents were busy with their activities, most of which were coffee farmers. Coffee gardens stretching out over acres everywhere we see only coffee gardens, which are green in unison. The blooming white coffee blossoms add to the cantink, red coffee beans ready for harvest.

Step by step we began to paddle our way up the not so wide and somewhat uphill path, a pretty exhausting journey for us. Every now and then we stop to catch our breath and then continue our journey, we stop at a small hut while resting on the left and right side we are just a green coffee tree. We witnessed the beautiful scenery that indulges the senses of sight.

Drizzle began to fall down the coffee trees the atmosphere cooled down the bones rigid and shivering, but the coffee farmers tirelessly still with the work of picking coffee for coffee, ignoring his body soaked in the rain as if they were friendly with the weather. Their passion makes us all amazed. That's how they struggle to earn a living to support their families.

Coffee farmers work from dawn to dusk, so they rarely have free time for other things for them to quote coffee is a very important thing they should do. Seeing the spirit of the coffee farmers we began to chat with them.

We also help picking coffee that is dark red scattered so many in each stem. The unique way of picking coffee takes extra pay, we have to line up by line so no one gets left behind. There was a special excitement that we got. Fatigue as if lost at the same time working and joking fun.

Pause for lunch time has arrived. Cooking in the middle of the coffee garden there is an impression that can not be forgotten. The little shack where we are sheltered with only a board whose wood has begun to rot. After eating it cooked we eat together despite eating potluck, if together tasted more delicious and tasteful.

Many things we ask them from how to choose quality coffee to produce a good coffee powder, until we are celebrating the price of its canned coffee beans, also the price of coffee beans. How not the spirit of coffee farmers in carrying out the task of coffee prices can guarantee its future, we can say that.

It is not easy to work as a coffee farmer. Many things always have to be done starting from planting coffee seedlings, cultivating them and so forth. Process by process, step by step is passed to produce quality coffee to be imported to various countries in the world.

How patient the coffee farmer who never tired under the blazing sun, his body burned ignored. Even the hail despite being overwhelmed by the spirit. We learned a lot from coffee farmers, a lot of impressions and messages we got. Because with earnest effort will get satisfactory results.

That's how we experience being a coffee farmer, it takes solidarity and togetherness so closely to produce good results. The impression we get is working is not easy many obstacles and challenges to achieve maximum results. Learning from experience is the best thing to achieve success.
