RE: Stop the Delphians (A 1,000 word sci-fi story)
I loved it.
It builds up the suspense and tension around a neatly elaborated world.
Will this story have a sequel? It deserves one :)
Does it take you too long to come up with tech details particular of this genre? do you have to do some research, or just make up some things?
@hlezama Thanks for your comments and questions. I am thinking of a sequel, there is so much I could do with this underwater city of Mercy, ran by AI being, and set to be attacked by the Delphians! Sometimes I do research when I want to talk about a particular thing that I want to be real. For instance, in my C.J. McCallister series, I researched handguns to come up with a real viable weapon for her to be carrying. But in this one, I just used my general knowledge from reading sci-fi in the past. It wouldn't stand the test of scrutiny from the real sci-fi purist, but I had fun with it.
