meaning of life

Many people never stop looking for what life means. They look back and do not understand why their relationships fall apart and why they feel so empty even though they have succeeded in achieving what they aspired to.

One baseball player, whose name was recorded in the Baseball Hall of Fame, was asked what he hoped someone else would tell him at a time when he started playing baseball. He replied, "I hope people will tell me that when you reach the top, there is nothing."

Many life goals turned out to be empty, after being pursued in vain for years.

In our humanistic society, people pursue many ideals, assuming that in them they will get meaning. Some of these ideals include: business success, wealth, good relationships, sex, entertainment, doing good to others, and so on.

However, these people actually tell, that when they achieve their dreams in gathering wealth, relationships and pleasure, inside them there is a deep emptiness, an empty feeling that nothing can fulfill.
