HONESTY

I asked on my status few days ago that who did a man loves most between the person he is lying to not to hurt or he is telling the truth even if the truth hurts.

Few of my friends reacted to it and we rub minds together and it led me to remember something that happened recently when i wanted to buy carrots when I left church to approach an Aboki man just a little stretch from the church .

The Aboki man display some fresh ones on his tray.

I walked to him and ask how much he sells a portion. He tells me the price and I told him to pack two portions for me.
Just as he was about to pack my carrots, I quickly added, "I hope these carrots are sweet." He hesitates for few seconds, then says, "Oga, e no too sweet like that o. E no sweet."

Of course, I wasn't expecting him to tell me his carrots are not sweet even if they are not; so, I was shocked by his level of honesty. No seller has been as honest to me before.

But I needed to buy sweet carrots because I like eating them. I told him "Thank you" and made to go. I changed my mind and decided to buy some more carrots from him than the initial. "I can make rice with them in my hostel at Adenike😘😘." I thought!

When I left the place, my thoughts drifted back to how he looked me in the eye and told me the truth, then left me to make a decision, even if it means probably losing the sales.I respected him for that. I smiled and applauded him.

Moral:
Thing is, when you value and respect people's feelings, you'll always be open to being honest with them. If you love someone, you'll be deliberate about being truthful with him/her. You'll never leave things to assumption, chance or presuppose. You'll make them know exactly where they stand with you.

I say, "Don't even wait for them to find out. That could be tragic too."
I remembered how I once lied to someone to eschew some pains it might cause and I regretted later.

Many relationships come to wreck because people can't just be downright honest and plain with each other.
They'd never dare because they think lying is cheaper and safer than the full glares they could get from telling the truth. They fear what they might lose. "Goodnews is, after they find out,we lose after all.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,Please be straight down honest.
Whoever would love you,will.The ones who won't love you would not even if you continued lying to them.
Be honest. Whoever would stay, will. Whoever would go, will.
Be honest. Whoever would help you, will. Whoever won't help, will not even after listening to your well
concocted lies.
