The man from Taured
A mysterious story that continues to be a puzzle for many people on the planet, because, the real facts for how they happened have never been definitively clarified because of the lack of official testimony from the protagonists of this story.
It all starts at the Tokyo International Airport, in Japan, a country and a people that is not in itself inclined to tilt, especially on bizarre and mysterious facts.
However, precisely this omertà has dropped the question of the man of Taured in the deepest aura of mystery that modern chronicles remember.
On an apparently normal day of a particularly hot summer of 1954, at the Haneda Internatinal Airport everything took place regularly until an aircraft from the European continent made the classic maneuvers of the airport. An unusual passenger was traveling on this aircraft.
All the people who got off the plane, in fact, approached the customs to carry out all the formalities required by the Japanese government, but in the middle of this group stood out the figure of a middle-aged Caucasian man, particularly tall and dressed in clothes that let a job in the business shine through.
Once his turn came to customs, the man explained that he was in Japan on a business trip and that this was his third trip.
We must remember that Japan, in that historical period, had been out of World War II for only 9 years and was trying to reconstruct not only its own economy, but also its social and political identity, as well as international relations.
For this reason, the customs office in charge of Haneda paid special attention to all foreigners arriving in Japan from Europe.
When the man picked up his passport, however, the mystery began ...
The security inspectors, in fact, after reading the name of the country of origin of the Caucasian began to exchange puzzled looks.
The passport, in fact, reported the writing TAURED PASSPORT printed in golden letters and the officials who, of course, had never heard of a country with a similar name began the checks to determine if that document had been forged.
By carefully checking the inside pages of the passport, however, officials noticed that the man had previously used it for other travel throughout Europe and could see the entry stamps of the various customs attesting the veracity of the document presented by the man.
Moreover, the two inspectors noticed not only other Japanese customs stamps attesting the various journeys made in Japan, but also the presence of many authentic banknotes and various countries that confirmed the veracity of the information provided.
The mysterious traveler also spoke a modest Japanese while his native language was French.
To carry out further checks, the man was transferred to the interrogation room while his passport passed into the hands of more experienced counterfeit inspectors.
The man was asked to provide other documentation certifying his identity and in order to resolve this hitch as quickly as possible, the traveler cooperated without creating the slightest problem and in all respects.
However, despite the Caucasian provided all the possible and imaginable documents proving his identity, the mystery thickened.
Identity card, driving license and any other document, in fact, were issued by the Republic of Taured and the same traveler declared his amazement in noticing these problems that had never occurred during his countless trips.
At a point of unclearness, the investigators asked the man to indicate on the map where Taured was located and with a decidedly surprised tone the man declared that Taured was exactly between France and Spain.
Spurned by that absurd situation, the officials asked the traveler to indicate on the map the exact point where Taured was located, but the man, looking amazed at the map, discovered that the point on which he had placed his finger corresponded to Andorra.
Feeling teased, the man said that he thought the map was totally wrong because that place corresponded to his birthplace or Taured and not Andorra.
The officials, however, tried to explain to the man that a nation called Taured, in reality, never existed, but at the same time the traveler replied the contrary raising the question of how he had done all those trips and get on aircraft in total tranquility.
After a few hours of questioning, the results arrived from the examinations carried out on the passport and they confirmed the authenticity of the document in all its details, but at the same time no airport where he would pass the man could confirm he had to do with a nation called Taured.
Therefore, the main enigma still remained unsolved:
What country is Taured and where exactly is it?
At this point, the Japanese decided to call the company for which the man declared to serve, but even this solution translated into nothingness because the company not only declared not having in his staff that man, but also not to be aware of any place called Taured, even if the traveler had with him a whole series of official documents that attested to the contrary.
Moreover, the Japanese company was called with whom the man should have concluded an important business, but they also said they had no idea of the identity of that traveler.
The subject, at this point, proposed to the investigators to call the hotel where he had booked the room for his stay, but this also confirmed that he had no room booked with his name.
At this point, the authorities could not help but ask for police intervention following the protocol on travelers of unknown origin.
The man was transferred to a special structure to allow him to spend the night with two armed guards to keep his room under control.
The traveler, without ever resisting, followed the policemen and asked for a headache pill. The next morning, a team of special policemen specializing in espionage and security agents from the PSIA, went to the facility where the Taured man was being held.
Once the officers arrived, they talked to the planets who reported that the subject had never left the room and had not heard any particular noise coming from inside.
When the door was opened, however, the agents found no one. The man had disappeared into thin air!
There was no trace of either the traveler or his personal effects and the only way out was a window that was closed and locked just to prevent the prisoner from escaping.
Disbelief gave way to anger and the competent authorities decided to bury the whole story of the man from Taured.
The story emerged only thanks to airport operators who, over the years, called all the European airports to ask for the authenticity of the stamps found on that mysterious traveler's document.
what a mistery and story.
