"The shorter and deeper philosophies of life"

ဘဝေပးအသိ၊ နားလည္မႈ၊ လက္ေတြ႔အသံုးခ်မႈမပါတဲ့
စာသိ သိယံုမ်ွဟာ ျပႆနာေတြကို
ေက်ာ္လႊားနိုင္သည္ထိ အသံုးမဝင္ပါဘူး။
စာအုပ္ထဲမွာ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို ့ေလ့လာထားတဲ့
ဗဟုသုတကေနတစ္ဆင့္ ပညာရရွိဖို႔
ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ကိုယ္တိုင္ လက္ေတြ႔က်င့္သံုးရမွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
အသိပညာဆီ အဆင့္တိုးျမင့္မသြားတဲ့ ဗဟုသုတဟာ
အသီးမသီးတဲ့ အပင္နဲ႔တူပါတယ္။
အဲဒီကေန ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ အက်ိဳးအမ်ားၾကီးမရနိုင္ပါဘူး။

Mere book knowledge without common sense
and understanding and practical application
is of no use to overcome our problems.
We must practise ourselves to have wisdom
through the knowledge we learn in the book.
Knowledge which does not advance towards
wisdom is like a tree that does not bear any fruit.
We cannot get much benefit from it.
