BitShares Hangouts Speakers and Worker Proposals Earn Beyondbits for Participating!

Notice: Beyondbit Payouts are BASED ON POST PAYOUTS and are sent After Final Payouts for this post are Received!

"Join weekly to speak with founding community members of the BitShares Enterprise Dex about history and current events in Cryptocurrency and earn some free BitShares Tokens!" ~officialfuzzy

Hangout Format:

This will go up at least 4 days before the BitShares Hangout. BitShares community members who post subjects to cover and bring topics of discussion are asked to do so in response to this post first. Worker Proposals are a Chief Focus in these hangouts, but other topics and projects are welcome to join. @officialfuzzy can finally pay people who have supported this powerful cryptocurrency for the past 4 years since its birth and evolution. So reply below with valuable topics, updates, info we should cover and earn upvotes from in this thread and earn a special bonus if yours are chosen!

How Much Time Per Topic?

Hangouts will be at least 45 minutes long, but depending on attendance and projects/topics to be covered may last up to 60 minutes. Given this, we will try to stay with 5-6 core topics and will fit in others where possible.

What do we Earn for Actively Participating?

Those who attend will each earn from a pool of bitshares that will be purchased with earnings from this post. They will then be given directly to you via our new guestbook that we are testing.
Fuzzy will be giving Beyondbits to community founders who attend this weekly hangout to give their own unique perspectives and expert commentary. He will also be giving them to people who give topics and information we choose to use in our hangout!
So make sure you get a BitShares Wallet!

And let's not forget...you get SP through upvoting quality information and content worth sharing with the top minds in crypto across the graphene ecosystem!

Is any topic off Limits?

Yes. We reserve the right to learn from the newest trickster trolling steemit consistently searching for way to insert chaos into the equation and devise future strategies for negating these. Naturally if these efforts become ham-fisted attempts at shutting down free speech in honest conversations, the audience will hold us accountable.
But with that said....pretty much anything can be covered--even up to and including current events. However, I personally will only be voting up stories that touch the blockchain in some way shape or form and will be asking the community to downvote absolute Rubbish! ;)

Extract from this week Bitshares State of the Network Report

  • Bitspark to start showcasing their software powered by Bitshares with the Republic of Tajikistan as part of a UN financial inclusion project. Tajikistan is a country in central Asia which has roughly 30-40% of its GDP is derived from international remittances.

  • Cryptofresh The original Bitshares Block Explorer has successfully migrated to new server hardware. Big thanks to @roadscape

  • @stan Larimer has announced a 100% compliant exchange and growing inventory of security, commodity and other types of tokens that pass SEC scrutiny to be built on Bitshares

  • RuDEX have added gateway support for STEEM, SBD and MUSE and now have gateway support for all major Graphene based chains with 0% market fees.

  • Coingate have announced the integration of Bitshares into their payment gateway service; allowing merchants to accept payments via Bitshares (BTS)

As I've announced on the last week's hangout RuDEX team now launched two gateways, and now has a 0% market fee gateway for all major Graphene based chains (STEEM, Peerplays, Muse, Golos).

Here is Muse announcement and here is Steem/SBD announcement.

Furthermore, our team has a Steem witness @blockchained since March, and now that we've done all this we're planning to start working on getting closer to the top (perhaps if not top 19, but at least top 20-30), since leveraging of blockchain instruments is what allows us to operate those 0% fee gateways.
To that end we're reposting all of our English language posts to our @rudex account.

We are also hoping, that those 0% fees are going to attract marketmakers from Steem and other communities, and bring liquidity to the Bitshares markets.

Other than reporting those things, I am going to talk about or future plans, since what we have now is just a good start.

make sure you introduce yourself clearly and say you are from rudex.org

I will, thanks for the advice! :-)

Collected Fees Report for August 2017

During the month, 0.80 million BTS were collected for 8.92 million operations (within 2.96 million transactions) on the blockchain. 48% of the operations were due to market order creations, and 43% were due to market order cancellations. However, those operations only generated 8% of the collected fees.

The leading distribution of operational fees paid/collected with BTS were as follows:

Operation Type% of Total BTS
Asset create69%
Account upgrade17%
Limit order create7%
Account create4%
Transfer2%
Limit order cancel1%
Access Your OpenLedger Wallet With a Barcode (Airbitz)

Potentially getting locked out of your BitShares account is greatly diminished when using the OpenLedger-Airbitz integration

"Airbitz has now partnered with OpenLedger ApS to allow users to login to the decentralized blockchain with the scan of a barcode. Using Airbitz, private keys are instantly created, encrypted, and backed up, meaning that for OpenLedger users, there are no words to write down, no files to save, and no data to encrypt. It all happens automatically, magically."

There has been a lot of confusion over this, and questions by people in the Whaleshares Discord.
Asking "why am I being redirect to Airbitz, what is it, etc"

I did not know what it was to give them answers.

Thanks a bunch again for the great information, vibrant discussions and positive output, namaste :)

Since we are the company currently doing fork/bigger network of bts blockchain with 10 new witnesses for Thailand/South-East Asia, with new development of ui, is there any way for our representative to join the show ?

I dont see why not. But whaletank islikely better for that.

Yeah, certainly! The Bitshares hangouts are only an hour long, so it'd be possibly limited in time - the WhaleTank hangouts are an additional opportunity to get apasia.tech some exposure within the beyondbitcoin/bitshares/steemit communities.

@cm-steem, that would be awesome if can be accomplished. It was a question as possibility, since we are looking for all the way to increase exposure towards BitShares. @britcoins is now discussing and negotiating gateway implementation of THB and bitTHB with George from BitSpark thanks to valuable point directions from the Steem community (many thanks to @johnsmith) :)

BTW, 16.6th MBlock being synced @ the moment with node fully responsive and no delays in interactions :)

@officialfuzzy I enjoyed participating in this week's Hangouts. I learned quite a bit about the community, operations, current developments, and upcoming partnerships. Really exciting stuff! I recommend to anyone that's interested in learning about BitShares to attend these events. Thanks again for all that you do.

very nice post thanks man
