EOS VS.Hedera Hashgraph

in #eos7 years ago

Today the startup Hedera announced that it will start a hashgraph based platform similar to EOS.
Besides using a different technology than EOS, Hedera will not be open source like EOS but controlled by a so-called "global governing council" consisting of 39 different companies.
What do you think of Hedera approach to their platform and whom do you rather trust?

The fact Hedera will not be open source is a very good point for EOS.
EOS has a huge worldwide community of supporters and developers. Hedera's project a very very small one
Hedera has raised only 18 millons USD up to now (about 100X less than EOS)
I do not worry but will keep an eye on Hedera's project

Thanks for your reply tsto and at this point, I absolutely agree with you. I just hope that EOS will keep that edge, because EOS being open source and decentralized just appeals so much more to me.

Yes, technically Hedera can be very promising, in governance they took many traits from EOS, this 39 "REPUTABLE" Company Council is a bit scary, till we know, who they are, what they want, etc.
So yes, I don't think Hedera Hashgraph will make EOS pointless, which is open source, that means freedom, and more decentralized.
But I must admit, the Hedera project is very interesting and worth of attention. But for me EOS remains the most promising project. The future is exciting!
