Venezuelan Sign Language - Deaf Community
Venezuelan Sign Language
Happy and blessed Steemit community night. I'm back and I bring you an extraordinary post, so go ahead and get to know and learn about the Venezuelan Sign Language, remembering once again that each hour that passes is an opportunity to grow. So go ahead and I invite you to create new content through this interesting platform.
As a Special Education Graduate, I provide comprehensive educational attention to hearing-impaired students to achieve their emancipation. I have the joy of sharing my respect and admiration with the deaf community on numerous occasions. Through this medium I want to encourage the steemit community to know and learn about the Venezuelan Sign Language, so be prepared and pay attention that this topic is interesting and deserves your participation.
I particularly consider that the LSV is constituted by an organized system of signs that allows communication of people with hearing impairments (deaf) in different areas, whether at family, social, school, work level, this allows them to express through signs their feelings, ideas, concerns, needs, allowing their social interaction and active participation as a member of a community.
It is pertinent to point out that people with hearing impairments or deaf have rights and equal opportunities in all areas, these rights have been recognized and have a legal basis For example: The Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Law for People with disabilities, resolution 2005 of the Ministry of Education (1996), which guarantees the enrollment and integration of children and young people with special educational needs and / or with disabilities into the educational field for the full development of their capacities, without discrimination, currently is promoting inclusion as a strategy to eradicate exclusion.
It should be noted that I have developed Training (Workshops and conversations) on Venezuelan Sign Language as a pedagogical integration strategy in order to raise awareness in the school community, I also have the blessing and honor of forming, coordinating, directing and instructing the Coral Manos Blancas "Padre Francisco Amigo" for 8 consecutive years in Cagua Municipality Sucre Aragua State, said choir is made up of students with or without special educational needs, promoting integration, participation and inclusion in educational work, where we interpret hymns, songs in LSV , stories, poems and dramatizations, among others, we have participated in numerous meetings and events. One of my objectives or set is to promote LSV as an area of knowledge in all educational institutions, since in various houses of studies it encourages English (Foreign Language) it would be interesting to promote at all levels and modalities of the Bolivarian Educational System the learning of the Venezuelan Sign Language.
This time I want to delight you with a Reflective Reading:
My hands speak while I smile at you
Within the silence in which I live I learned to communicate, my hands express my feelings and my ideas, with my bodily expressions I say more than a thousand words, do not see me with those eyes, I do not have a disease I only have one condition, do not be afraid of me or It hurts, I only seek your acceptance, I want to be your friend, look at me so that you can understand me, I am a child like you, only that I interacted differently, a heart beats inside my chest, I am alive and I breathe, look around you, we are different in terms of way of being, thinking, acting and feeling, remember being different is something common, thank God, my family and teachers, I am independent, I can do and achieve many things, the only thing I cannot do is listen , but that does not stop me, while some think that I have a disability, the truth is that I prefer to think that I have different capacities, I learned to develop my other senses, like every human being I have potentialities and abilities, just like you, only my hands speak when I smile at you You know I adore my little hands with them I can speak, sing and express myself, come I invite you to know and learn my way of communicating, it is called sign language, you dress is interesting!
Next I want to invite the steemit community to develop and encourage creative potential by creating reflections or unpublished allusive poems:
*Being different is common
- Respect and equal opportunities
*Disability - Venezuelan Sign Language
So cheer up, wake up that talent, come on, it's time to capture your ideas, I'd like to read your reflections. Delight us with your creations. Good luck, successes and blessings.
