The great email trap..... Emails can help us be very productive and informative. But what about being collaborative? There is a place for emails in the daily grind of business. It's great for sharing info and ideas. But once we decide to exchange ideas, nothing beats actual conversations.

My 3 email no-nos:

1. Use the subject line. Title your email with the appropriate subject, not "read later."
2. Emails should be short and to the point. If you find yourself including different topics in one email, you need to write a separate email.
3. DO NOT COLLABORATE VIA EMAIL!!!!!! Actual discussions are faster and easier to comprehend. Humans are meant to read non verbal signals and voice inflection. A 13 email stream can probably be figured out in a 10 minute conversation and probably have a better outcome.
