Staying motivated during slumps in business
Hey Steemians,
I wanted to write a post focusing on how to stay motivated during the ups and downs in business.
Remember, the early bird gets the worm. If you want to get ahead, and stay ahead. This means even if the market is down or you're not seeing the results you want, you still plug away hoping to make any amount of incremental progress.
The hard part here is producing at your highest output at all times. If you have a project that you could make more money at at any given time you should essentially be doing that. But for most of us the question is more "should I eat chips and watch TV tonight or post to steemit?"
Right now the answer is more chips and TV than steemit due to the low in the market right now.
If the question is about moving into a more lucrative market, both short term and long term then yes make the move. We all have bills to pay.
Looking at the below graph you can see that in order for income (the yellow line) to trend upward, you must progress through the red slump.
The red slump can feel like a drag sometimes but it's an important learning time. Learn what it is like to go through one and come out the other side. The best part about steemit is that the slump isn't less than zero so KEEP GOING.
Let me know if you have any questions :D
I guess the best way to get motivated is to accept first that in business, there will be ups and down. Ups is a time for celebration and down is a time to review what you missed.
