Stolen Childhood

I work in a place where it is not very difficult to realize that childhood is being stolen, it is a scourge repeating itself more and more strongly, in every space of my country Venezuela. What I mean by this, the fact that fewer and fewer children are laughing or playing, instead they are frustrated and worried about what they will eat every day, I know children who have left school to go out on the streets and work for a few bolivars to see if they can mitigate a bit their hunger.

One of my biggest concerns is to think that it will be the life of these children in the future, if they have left school to work, that will be theirs when they are adults and remember that in his childhood there was only work and he was not allowed to be a child , what will be the destiny of this generation in twenty years if the childhood of our children continues to be stolen.

It is worrisome that children carry burdens or emotions that do not correspond to them until adulthood and if they do not stop this chaos it will bring serious consequences. Thinking about this with the children with whom we work, we try to guarantee moments of joy and that are memorable for them when they are big, part of it was our celebration of the day of the child, more than 200 children spent an enjoyable afternoon, enjoying the most in the inflatable mattress, since many do not have possibilities of going to one, because they are low resources. Grateful to God because the snack reached, as more children than expected, every day we want to place a brick in the construction of a healthy emotional and physical spiritually.

Live children, they are the present and the future ...
