The Flak 88 was designed as antiaircraft especially to protect the aerodromes. But this proved its effectiveness and versatility, which would also serve as a terrestrial weapon. The Flak needed 8 men for its use and so that it could move they needed a half-track tractor.
This armament was devised by the Nazis and used in the Civil War by the Francoist army. It became the backbone of Germany from the first time it was used in Spain in the middle of the years 1936-1937.
La Flak was considered one of the most terrifying in its time. Stories said that this piece of artillery even made the camaraderie among the tankers disappear.
