in #english6 years ago
The Universidad Central de Venezuela is certainly the oldest institution of higher education in Venezuela since it was founded in 1721 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. It is characterized by being "The House that Beats the Shadows".

A place where the greatest people have graduated and have fun, but, like everything else, it also has its history. Formerly there were some women's residences that were later used for the creation of the schools of Journalism and Nutrition and Dietetics, making this a great change in the institution, but it didn´t please someone who didn´t leave it.

To prevent the girls from bringing the men to the residence, President Marcos Pérez Jiménez asked some nuns to look after the place. The story changed when one of the nuns fell in love with one guy and in her sadness of unrequited love committed suicide in what is today the photo room where even her spirit terrifies everyone who has seen her.

Many have seen her walk down the halls or stand in the darkness of the photo room at the School of Journalism and attest to how frightening it is. Once, a teacher saw her and was so frightened that he didn´t want to enter the room anymore.
