Chess and Love. Similarities

in #english5 years ago

Chess is a strategy game that requires concentration and time, where you cannot move a piece lightly, because a bad movement makes you miss a valuable opportunity. Each piece has a score, some higher and give you more advantages to win as the queen, the king, the towers the bishop and the horses and some lower but no less important: the pawns. Each one moves on the board in different directions and all retain limits.

I can compare love with chess in several aspects, for example:

1) Develop a strategy, find the ideal person and know how and when to fall in love.

2) When you have someone it takes time to know their qualities and defects, how they react to problems, how they make decisions, what their priorities are.

3) Think before acting, taking into account the effects of our actions on the feelings of the other so as not to act selfishly and hurtfully recognizing that each one makes their own decisions **but that affects the other positively or negatively**.

4) Keep and respect the rules of the game. We all have limits established by our upbringing, environment and that must be respected in order to have peace and pleasant moments. Not invading privacy to the point of being pedantic, having a lot of knowledge will not give us the right to have control over others, on the contrary, learn to work in a team and together with that special person.

5) Every situation in which our decisions unfold can be like the board. Chess is just a hobby but love unlike this game is real. So let's not spoil it by acting stupidly, let's learn from chess some things that can ensure a possible victory in love.
