Moving house is said to be one of life's most traumatic events.
For one man it ended with a fine and his car being towed away by police in New Hampshire who took exception to the mountain of possessions on his roof rack.
This was not just a case of a couple of cases, but enough stuff to double the height of his car.
At the very top of the mountain of possession was a bike. There were chests galore, a television and draped over the back a standard lamp, a 32-inch television, a rake, shovel and what appeared to be a shopping cart.
Police stopped the 57-year-old man after witnesses reported the vehicle making its way along the I 93, one of the main highways through the New England state

"To elaborate on the photo that was posted earlier, driving with items attached/strapped to your vehicle can be extremely dangerous for you and those driving nearby," New Hampshire State Police said in a Facebook post.

"These objects can obstruct your view or even worse become unsecure and cause an accident. Please keep our roadways safe!"
Other road users were unimpressed. “A picture says a thousand words,” T.J. Boucher, told the NECN, a local cable news station.

“What moron goes down the street thinking that’s acceptable?”
