Solving for base load?
The USA transition from getting 1,923% more energy from coal than solar + wind to getting equal amounts happened in just 14 years. It’s a good start. A great start as part of a $100 trillion historically important effort.
There are two other necessary traditions to make this meaningful
- Cleaning the U.S. supply chain to minimize products Made in China (with coal).
- Making the added solar and wind equipment Made In USA. Making this mostly in the no. 1 coal burner means it just creates more coal pollution elsewhere.
