Support Flood victims through the Kelvin Doe Foundation

in #emergency7 years ago

On August 14, 2017 Freetown the capital city of Sierra Leone experienced the most deadly mudslide and devastating floods, which claim the lives and properties of hundreds. In the first five hours of the disaster, emergency response services discovered over 200 corpses including children and women. This number is increasing every hour. The magnitude of this damage has not been quantified by authorities but so far thousands are already displaced. On this note, The Kelvin Doe Foundation is requesting your help to support those affected. We are raising $50k to provide food, clothing and medication to those affected from last night mudslide and devastating floods.

The Kelvin Doe Foundation has already sent people on the ground to assess the situation and gather reliable data on families affected. We are currently building partnerships with other organizations who are giving direct support to the victims alive. By the end of this campaign we hope to have gathered enough data to direct your support to those affected.

For transparency purposes, all fundraising will be conducted via www.Gofundme.com at this link (https://www.gofundme.com/help-victims-of-floods-in-sleone)

Funds will be used to buy food items, medication, and clothing for the victims. This will be conducted by the foundation’s team in Freetown headed by Kelvin Doe. (Kelvindoe.com)

The distribution of items will be conducted by the foundation’s team in Freetown headed by Kelvin Doe. Victims will receive the items in person and via our partnering organizations in Freetown.

A report on use of funds will be shared to all contributors.

Thank you in advance for your kind-heartedness to the people of Freetown.
